If you rush out one day after setting your Iris alarm and a minute later you get a notification of an intruder alert that the motion sensor was triggered. Then you may need to increase the delay time between setting and activation under the alarm configuration page.
To get to this page you need to login into lowes.com/iris and click on the option for “Alarm”.
Then click on “Alarm Configuration”.
The reason this happens is because the motion sensor takes a minute before it determines that there is no motion in the room.
This is the history of the motion sensor when I walk in and immediately walk out of a room quickly.
As you can see it takes about a minute before it determines that there is no motion anymore.
If you have a motion sensor that’s very close to the door where you enable your alarm, then you may want to set “Delay between setting and activation” for the highest interval of 60 seconds.
