Thanks to Steve who pointed this video out to me.
We haven’t heard much news regarding the fan speed switch besides it’s one of the products that has been in the “coming soon” status for the longest time.
I wasn’t able to get any release dates for this product but some how this setup video is posted online with all the other Iris videos.
After my failed attempt to find official supported Siren from Iris, I decided to find an alternative. I ran some Google searches for “z wave siren” which lead me to an image that looks exactly like the one Lowe’s offered but it had a different brand. It’s called Everspring model SE812-2. Once I figured out the brand and model it was easier to search for it.
As you can see from below the image from Amazon and the screen shot taken from the Lowe’s Youtube video. It looks identical.
Currently the Iris system is setup to notify me by text and phone call if there is an intruder, but I’ve notice there wasn’t much noise in the house besides some beeping from the keypad. One of the police officers that visited us after the burglary mentioned, that a loud noise from the house would discourage anybody to stay around while the noise is attracting the neighbors to our home. I did find on YouTube video from Lowes where they have instructions to set one up but I can’t find it anywhere on lows.com/iris as one of the product for sale.
